SLC is there and the Nepal government has reduced the load shedding by only 2 hours! What a joke! How will the students will prepare for there SLC starting from Thursday, March 24, 2011.
Its a same to the Nepal Government to not give electricity even in the SLC examination which is known as the 'Iron Gate' and valued most by students and parents alike.
And this time around the SLC exam was supposed to be 'cheat free exam'. Government had also made the announcement that they would fine upto 1 Lakh for cheating. But the policy has not been implemented. Somewhere they found 2 sacks full of cheats.

This year’s (2067) SLC statistics:
  • Total exam days – 9
  • Students – 496,243
  • Exam centers – 1,672
  • Regular examinees – 436,411
  • Exempted examinees – 59,832
  • Number of open schools – 89
  • Students from open schools – 8,140 students (7,794 regular and 346 exempted)
  • Highest number of students – 32,860 (Kathmandu)
  • Least number of students – 122 (Manang)
Examiners:
  • Total – 47,242 personnel
  • Superintendents – 1,672
  • Assistant superintendents – 2,395
  • Invigilators – 19,843
  • Peons – 6,612
